Can anyone recommend a product or scheme that won't streak or leave smudges when wiping down chrome? Thanks.

Honda  makes a great all-purpose cleaner/polish that works on everything. It's getting kinda hard to find but it is still made.
Rocky Mountain ATV carries it, and I've found it at a local dealer.

WD40, my friend even uses it to preserve his real deal 1950s Indian windshield. Takes out the hazing.

Me? I spray that shiny crap with oven cleaner and then paint it.  Grin

Yep.....That Original Bike Spirits is the stuff I use.  My Honda dealer claims it is the same that used to have the Honda name on it......claims Honda got rid of their name on anything that was an aerosol.  I don't know about that, I just know this is good stuff.  I don't use it on the header or muffler however....only use Blue Job on the exhaust.

(Never mind that my bike is just grey primer at the moment....I do use this on the things I have that have paint on them).  It even works great for cleaning up chainsaws and getting the sap off the bar.

Same here Dave. Original Bike Spirits is very close to Honda Polish and works as good as anything else I've tried.

And in an attempt to clarify the Honda Polish question..... We are a Honda mower dealer and used to get Honda Polish by the case. That is long gone...NLA for over 5 years now. Had to do with "environmental" issues and "green" business practices.
