I had a cheap generic thing installed on mine. Wish I'd got white face, black dial, which I could probably have had for the same money.

Maybe it was the better of the two options, because I can see it clearly after dark.

I remember buying an Hodaka just because of the chrome tank. I bought a junked BSA500 because of the chrome tank. It didn't have a dent or scratch and I found a place that had replacement badges. I worked a lot of overtime for 3 years and didn't have time to start on it. One day a guy walked in and offered me $200 more than I paid for it. He left with it. I probably would never have ridden it because of the reversed controls but she sure was purdy to look at.

Now I can admire yours as well.. Had an assistant Mgr few years back. He rides a HD. Just about everything was chrome on his bike. I warned him of being a hazard on sunny days. Of course here we don't have as many sunny days as in Az.. So not so much of a hazard.. kim
