My collection of rusty gold

Well I've been starting to stock pile up parts for the winter, but since it was a rainy day this past Saturday I couldn't wait and installed the 13.5" progressive shocks and cut down the belt guard mounts to fit it. What a difference in cornering! Definitely doesn't track as well straight, but makes the twisties much more pleasurable
I love that chrome rear fender with the big round tail light, can't wait to get that puppy mounted

Yea.....I intend to do something about that front fender. When I get caught in the rain it throws a thin line of spray up in the air....and it comes back right in the center of my face shield. On the Dragon Run rain event we went through construction zone while the roads were wet, and I had a brown stripe of North Carolina clay down the center of my face shield!

Yea the horn is a vintage HD reproduction, I got it used for $20 including shipping not a bad deal. The rear fender with the taillight was a great score at $19!!!
And I found a guy off another forum that sells the rear sets with linkage for $119, they aren't anything fancy but they are nicely made.

Hey Dave,
I found that if you tie a bandana across the forks above your front tire that it will defuse the water spray. I tried it when I had the FireLizard and it worked rather well.

Very street fighter looking Lancer, does "Selective" actually mean that you get wet?

Looks like you are on your way. Dropping the front 2 inches seemed to make the biggest handling change for me. RYCA says trail is 4.75 in. after the modifications. I used laser levels and mine measures closer to 4 inches now. I am measuring using the steer tube angle.
I really do like those tanks!

Have not ridden in the rain with it yet, so not sure.
I have the RYCA Progressive springs but don't like the shorter travel and much harder ride. I'm going back to the stock springs, drill out the fluid holes a bit and go up to 20 wt oil. I've read about this mod a number of times and want to try it.

20 weight oil? Pfff... needs at least 40 weight, I'm likely to try GL1 85W once mine is going again, since a springer is way outside of my current budget.
