Five Stickers for $5 Five Bucks

Before logging in this time I noticed the Voodoo Vintage ad saying you could support SuzukiSavage.com by buying five stickers for $5US. While the stickers may appeal to many on this forum. I may be one of a "I like stock S40's" minority who has little or no time for "cool" "badass" or other quaint expressions. I have problems getting my head round skulls and crossbones. I'm not a pirate and I wasn't born until after the Nazi SS had been disbanded. I'm not a sticker person either but if a more "moderate" type of sticker were to be produced I could be in the market. Hope this little rant doesn't get me flung out of here.

Well said and I agree. The death head and other violent symbolism is well ingrained in the motorcycle community. It is to the point that the logo for an organization calling itself "Bikers Against Child Abuse" is a closed fist with BACA across the knuckles. What is the intent of such a logo? Violence will be met with violence? Probably a great organization but with a poorly thought out logo.

Let's face it, to a great many of us, biking is not just about riding, but how you and your bike look and the image you want to project. If a rider wants skulls, chains, a Nazi helmet and an SS patch, that is fine with me. I will putt along with my full face helmet, hi-viz jacket, and a nickname for a three eyed fish.

Good hunting

I see things & ask myself

"Who  was it that decided that was cool?"

I see NOt ONE Thing Cool about Death or violence.,I wont advertise for either or claim allegiance to a group that does. I REally dont need to be "cool"..

There was a thread a while back about choosing a logo for the site, and I think the skull and xbones is from there.  Johnh is trying to put together some merch for the site and I totally support that.

If you want some other logos made up as stickers, maybe send him a pm and ask.  I think a range of designs and styles is better than only one, but cost may be prohibitive.

That being said, I'm gonna buy some for sure. I have a skull of large size tattooed on my back, that was designed by a good friend of mine.  Does that mean I like violent imagery and death?  Nope.  The point of the tattoo is that there's no escaping death, so live life now.  If that makes me a horrible and violent person to you guys well, that's your hang-up, not mine.

I didnt even get offered the stickers...

Found the ad for a tshirt that led to the tshirt and stickers... I dont have anywhere to put stickers, but if the shirt came in sizes for real people I would have got one.

I have a "violent" theme for my Silver Savage, but it more of a "tongue in cheek" kind of statement.

I called it "the disturbed bunny".

Hand painted by "Preacher" Pin Stripe artist.

Original art by Mike Feeney (last picture).  I emailed him for permission to use it, never heard back.

(2nd picture is from when I lost that cover for 3 months when a bracket broke.. and the mowers ran over it.  Hey.. I found it at least!)

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.
