I rode one intending to buy it, but the bike was just too big and bulky.

The Savage suits me best of all bikes so far, and I have actually bought two other bikes trying to do better ....

It rides really nice, much taller and more top heavy but I'm 6' tall with a 32" inseam so it fits me perfect.
You ride it in a Sport Touring stance , in between standard and Sport.
Perfect for how I "want" to ride.
It has a good amount of torque and runs about 4000 rpm in 5th at 55 mph. Redline is 9000.

I still love the Savage for how light , nimble and torquey it is.
It is also set up with more protection from the elements so cold weather riding is better on it.

Very cool!

That Cafe is sweet looking.
If my bike wasn't in such mint condition, I'd be tempted to do something like that

Awesome find sir!! Those CX's were/are beautiful bikes all! I've seen some truly spectacular Cafe and Bobber backyard customs floating around on the WWW ... super (and unique) platforms for the do-it-yourselfer!!
