Electrical or battery problem.

OK, so Sunday I went over to a friend's place and did the 'leaving the key in on position' routine. When I got ready to go, click click click no start. I rolled it off and went on my way.
Didn't ride Monday.
Tuesday all is normal. Tuesday night I went to put the bike in the garage, turned the key on and nothing. I turned the handle bars and the lights came on and I was able to crank it. I did a circle in the drive and was backing into the garage when it shut off. Turning the handlebars in various positions did not help, I was thinking maybe a short or open. I rocked the bike back and forth and the lights came on again. When I hit the starter the comp solenoid clanks and the lights go out again.
So I'm wondering if I have a wiring problem or if the battery is just toast. It is supposed to be an AGM battery but I don't know how old it is. I'll pull it out and check it tonight.

You have reason to believe the battery is hurt.. no reason to believe its a bigger deal, till the battery tests good.

Easy fix. Broken wire on battery tender pigtail to positive battery terminal. Or broken lug I should say, vibrated till the lug snapped off.

sounds like battery problem, I had the same symptoms "click-click, + weaker starts"
I changed a battery and wish I did it earlier
