You do remember Xiaomi (pronounced as "zow me") the Chinese phone maker who bluntly said they could sell a phone at retail for less than an American company would pay for just the parts?

Well, they are really doing it .....  and these are some of the highest spec'd phones in the world with the very best most modern chipsets in them.   Your choice, Snapdragon 800 or Tegra 4, you pick.  
(that is very very rare, you know -- picking your choice of processor)

You will learn how to say their name, eventually, I do suspect.  Xiaomi has just hired away Google's head of Android Development Engineering --- hmmm, wonder what they plan to do with him ????

 



That little folding case cover looks pretty neat, doesn't add any thickness to speak of to the overall phone, protects the phone glass surface and it acts as a movie watching bracket.

The Japanese or South Koreans or Chinese get the first crack at all the new good stuff nowadays.  

We will see it in six months or thereabouts, when AT&T and Verizon get around to it.
