Carb question
09/01/13 at 09:24:55
3 years ago I did the white washer mod and rejetted the carb, put on a K&N filter and a Harley take off muffler. Now the muffler is shot and is almost obsene its so loud. Can I put the original muffler back on without to much trouble or will I have to rejet the carb etc?

I'm not sure if it was that or the increased air flow cus of the K&N

Don't worry about it... if you do it, and runs like cr@p, ..then rejet...
You'll probably hate that old stock muffler and go get another Shorty anyway...

I doubt the K&N has increased airflow over the stock filter.

Was it a Dyna muffler? If so is it the divider in the center chamber that has rusted out, if so just take the muffler off and hammer a freeze plug in there and reinstall it
