I have oil leaking from the front and rear cylinder head studs.  What is the fix?  2006 S40 with 5k miles.

If you are talking about the short studs at the intake and exhaust ports, the cure is to take them off, clean up the area, put a little sealer under the washer, and then tighten the nuts up to the proper torque. (I tighten them up to be pretty snug.....as I don't have any way to actually check the torque).

Well, you probably do....

All you need is a 12mm combination wrench, a small piece of 12 ga. steel, a 3/8" drive torque wrench, a ruler, and a calculator....

The piece of steel gets shoved between the torque wrench's drive square and the dog-bone end of the combination wrench, making for a snug fit there.  Some length measurements, some easy calculations, and you're in business with a nice torque adapter!

Or you could get a 12 mm 3/8" drive crows foot put it on the torque wrench at a 90 degree angle and you won't need a calculator.  That's how we did it in the Air force.

Yep, that'll work just fine, assuming that that combo gives you access (I'm to lazy to check right now).

Just be careful you don't round off the flats of that nut with the crows foot.....
