You are confused about the term (headcover) that is being used in this thread.
The "headcover" that is being discussed in this thread is the top of the cylinder that is bolted onto the head. It has the decompression shaft in it, holds the rocker arms in place, and is the upper portion of the cam journals. On the parts list you cannot buy it seperately from the head, as the cam journals are machined for these two pieces to "match".
The chrome shiny decorative things on each side....that bolt to the "headcover" are called.....Head Cover, Cap. They are listed as part number 29 & 30 on the parts list.
