Of cource you are not racist!! The joke is that whenever someone on the "outside" says something innocuous just as "you people" the race baiter is programmed to question said statement insinuating something nefarious.

There is a great exchange in the movie Tropic Thunder that addresses this fraud. One of the actors gets consmetic surgery to become black so as to get inot the character he is playing. I think it is Ben Stiller's character that says the words "you people" and the cosmetic black guy jumps in and says "What do you mean, you people?" and another real black guy looks at the costmetic black guy and says "What do YOU mean, you people?"

This was a subtle joke and it looks like an inside joke as most did not get it. So be aware that the left is using the slightest thing you see to trick you onto the defensive and shut down conversation. Open and honest discussion is the kryponite of the liberals.
