Dyna Muffler Chrome Cover Siuze
08/05/13 at 08:26:28
I have a Dyna Muffler model 65747-94 on the way - it has the
"rails" for mounting to the existing muffler bracket. What is the correct size chrome cover to buy to cover the connection of the header and muffler? I think it is a 2" x 7" but I want to be sure.
Thanks!

The OD of the connector pipe is 1.75".....so that is the size of heat shield you should buy.

This is a 1.75" OD cover. I believe this should work according to Dave.
Thanks!

I used the Cobra 2" x 7" Universal Heat Shield.
My stock header pipe is 2" diameter and the shield fits it well.
There is about a 1/8" gap between the shield and header pipe.
Here's where I got mine:

Here's a pic of my installation:

I used the same one on my 1999 with Dyna muffler.
