what causes this

I changed to a raptor pecock,now it seems the idle fluctuates.It doesn't stall ,but fluctuates between 1200 rpm and 1500 rpm .Everytime  i ride for a while ,then stop ,it's at a different speed.I try to set it at 1300.Any ideas?thanks

air leak on the vacuum tap?... (that's the only thing a Raptor conversion could do to make that symptom)...

How to prove it? Squirt something like WD40, out of the little red tube, up around the vacuum port & wherever you plugged it, if its got a long hose, squirt down its length,

I believe that a rotted fuel line will cause it as well. Do you smell gas?

I do smell gas sometimes ,but don't see any leaking.
i'll try the test tomorrow,It's the original gas line.(2005)What size is the stock gas line?Thanks for the answers guys.

just ride to the parts house, pull it off, walk in, buy some, fix it,,you'll feel as victorious as john wayne savin the PILL Grumms..

your right jog. i forgot i don't have to drain the tank. cool. is it recommended to get 5/16 slicone gas line?

NO! If ya do that, then youll never need to ride to the store & change it in the parking lot again,, you wouldnt want that, now would ya?
as for size/diameter,, IDK it,, but if ya walk in with it..

Silicone isn't exactly the easiest line to find, unless you have access to a good late model import car "tuner" shop. Pep Boys and O'Reilly tend to have it, but not necessarily in the right internal diameter... You really need to go to a specialty shop for it. Or order it off the internet...

I ended up getting the regular automotive fuel line, 5/16. I got some screw clamps too.Thanks,for the help.

And what you ended up with is still higher quality than the factory installed piece. Mine shipped with thin wall tubing, more commonly called vacuum line, as fuel line. Didn't hold up well to the climate on the Gulf Coast.
