trying to fit a Blue Collar Bobber rear fender.

Well, I'm back trying to finally finish my Savage with a BCB kit.
I'm having a heck of a time getting the fender to fit. I don't have enough clearance from the front of the swingarm to the rear tire.
The tire I'm running is a 140 90 15. Is this my issue?
The belt seems tight enough, and I don't want to over tighten to get more clearance.
What do I do?
Run without a rear fender? I'd rather not..

The stock tire is a 140/80-15, so that would probably be the problem.  It really hugs the stock tire and yours is higher.  Although this is probably not going to help you, I am glad you brought it up because I had wondered about that.

I hate to be the b!tchy one, but right from their website: "YOU MUST USE A STOCK-SIZED REAR TIRE (140/80-15) WITH OUR FENDER.". Caps are theirs.

I almost had the same problem. Was almost going to buy a BCB fender kit but noticed my bike was also running a 140/90.. seems like more people run the 140/90 than the 140/80 from what I've seen.

Looking around local tyre places it seemed like the 140/90 was much easier and cheaper to get hold of so I didn't want to change the tyre.

I'm now in the process of doing my own fender which is going pretty well so far  Cheesy

Looking closely at the BCB setup...imo instead of a weird box clamp going around the swing arm (using up some of the precious space between tyre)    BCB should made an L shaped bracket with a vertically slotted hole which you drilled & bolted or welded to the swing arm, you would be able to raise and lower the fender to whatever you wanted..

that is what I'm going to do anyway.

Check LowBrow Customs and The Factory Metal Works websites for better fender and mount choices.

Id so much rather keep the tire size you have Id start over on the fender, sell that, build somthing,, the tire size gives it a higher gear top end, slightly perks the handling, easy to get, in qualitry rubber,
