A jacket is not well vented if it balloons. Good jackets are vented front and back, and they don't balloon.

4 4" slits in front, 1 12" slit in the back, plus up the sleeves when it's real hot.
air enters 70 mph in front, goes around the big thing in the middle, then out the back at a slower pace due to the big thing in the middle.

and from time to time, I even get helmet lift. Cool

I really appreciate it. And I agree with most of them. Though, I didn't hear anybody who's not wearing any protection his/her opinion. Even they know it's dangerous, why not protection? To compare to the feeling I have to get rid off everything.

You were fully geared, fell, no pain, you have learned that you can ride and crash without pain. You do not need to ride safer. You know that you can ride faster. So you will, and eventually you will go faster and crash and will still enjoy the pain. The *reason* for "gear" is to enjoy riding faster -- Risk Compensation

So what happens if you ride without the protection? I was about six years of age when I went speeding into a turn in a dirty alley -- slide into the gravel. Lots of pain. I learned to watch and not slide and crash. Yeah, I do still fall, maybe once in every two or three years, at a stop. I ride without protection, free, enjoying the smells and sights and the sounds. A thousand hours on the bike is a small cost for a *bump* that is less painful than stumbling in the house in the morning before your coffee.

What you wear depends on how much you want to lessen injury. If you fall, you will get hurt. Gear reduces the hurt.
I wear a full helmet, boots, jeans, armoured jacket, and gloves all the time. Mesh jacket and fingerless gloves when it's hot. I have riding pants for any long hiway rides.

You saw what can happen at low speeds. Just imagine doing that at 60mph.
