My bike is getting a bushing swap, with apes, it really should have metal or hard nylon instead of poly or rubber, my bars sway like a flag pole in a hurricane.

Unnecessary, the mount works fine with the uppermost bolt removed, trust me, mine has been out for years for tank clearance.

And if your tires are getting funky, that's most of the vibration issues. Our bikes have a rather weak sister suspension as issued, good tires are critical, the soft forks and 3/4 cooked pasta grade rear shocks transmit more road shock than a rigid frame with a properly sprung solo seat.
