Pine.. pushing my limits
06/30/13 at 17:28:04
I finally rode the bike on the interstate (@70 mph) for the 35 or so miles from Jackson MS to Vicksburg MS.. and actually across the mighty Mississippi river and into LA. So my first ride out of state. And to top it all off.. I did it at night.
Yeah.. my butt was soooo sore. The handle bar vibration was pretty bad as well.
I did enjoy the ride.

It WILL fit in your little danger Ranger... load it, head up here, let's get it set up properly. I've still got a spare 140/90-15 Dunlop... You shouldn't get much if any bar vibration, check your riser base nuts, they do loosen over time. My bike is getting a bushing swap, with apes, it really should have metal or hard nylon instead of poly or rubber, my bars sway like a flag pole in a hurricane.

Check your motor mount bolts as well, especiallyl the top ones over the cylinder head.

Unnecessary, the mount works fine with the uppermost bolt removed, trust me, mine has been out for years for tank clearance.
And if your tires are getting funky, that's most of the vibration issues. Our bikes have a rather weak sister suspension as issued, good tires are critical, the soft forks and 3/4 cooked pasta grade rear shocks transmit more road shock than a rigid frame with a properly sprung solo seat.

By all means, check your motor mounts. They can and will cause excessive vibration if they get loose. That is well documented on this forum.
