I have it together but still need to put a finish on it. Thinking maybe powdercoat it. It is soild, I stood on it and it held great. Looking to put a helmet box on top, but gotta find one. Most of the rack will be hidden by the box. Tell me what you think.

Once i mount a box im thinking that would gard aganst that. What the wife was saying to put Trim arond the sides: Like a door trim from auto parts store.

You might try this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Performix-Brand-11-oz-Plasti-Dip-Black-Rubber-Coat... Tape off the very top surface of the rack, leaving a border around the edge. Leave a few 1" wide strips across the surface, and coat them as well. This will give your rack a good gripping surface and round out your sharp corners. Plus you can find similar products in any color you want, AND it's easy to work with! Wink

Looks as if you took the peepad off and mounter it there? HondaLavis I have usd the Plasti-Dip-Black-Rubber-Coat in the past but did not even think about it for this. I do want to get a Quote on the powder coat.Then maye i could put some of that dip on top. Thanks

And it has an led light bar that you can wire as a running light or extra brake light. I bolted a luggage rack to my rear fender.

I did several different things, I extended the short backrest with 3/4 inch square metal tubing to make a tall backrest and added a beefup plate to the small luggage rack that was on the bike.
I fabbed up a mount to us a harley ultra tour pack on it...but it bounces too much and I was afraid it would crack it, so I won't use the HD pack.
I like the looks of the 929 trunk and will most likely order it for the wife.
At present I'm using a piece of plywood on the luggage rack, with the fabbed sissy bar to hold a kuryakyn luggage bag.
