Well it has taken a couple riding seasons,
yet I seem to have regained my riding
confidence I had back before my crash.
Before the crash I would jump on the bike
and ride anywhere. Wind, rain no problem.
Losing a whole season of riding made a difference.

The first few times back on the bike, the wind really
bothered me. I almost gave up riding. Ugly thought huh?
I just kept riding and faced the fact that if I was going to
continue to ride, wind was something I would have to get
used to riding in.
Now I am able to keep riding and not let it bother me like before.
I am so glad I didn't let it be the deciding factor in giving up one of
the things I enjoy the most in life.

In fact, one of the guys that works nights and rides, asked me recently
doesn't the wind bother you? I did admit it used to and now I just slow
down if need be and keep her steady..
He is getting back into riding himself after not riding for a few years. His
wife is even thinking of riding one herself..
Confidence comes with practice and learning how to handle situations as
they come.. kim

I was flinchy for year after I got T-boned... (even in a car)...

Fortunately,.. I'm now back under the delusion that I'm invincible, once again...

Crash happened at 4-way intersection.
I had completed my left turn, straightened
out the bike.
Was hit from behind by a 92 year old woman.
She claimed she never seen me..
I was very lucky that I wasn't killed. Her bumper
was over the top of me.
That was 3.5 years ago.

I was and still am a very cautious rider. Now even
though the crash wasn't my fault, I ride with the
idea that at any given time, in the blink of an eye,
my life can be altered like it was back then.

I love my bike and the enjoyment that comes from riding
it.
As long as I can straddle the bike and ride, I plan to do so.
It is in my blood and again one of the most enjoyable things
in my life.. kim
