Executioner, the favoured oil on this site is a Shell Rotella, which is hard to find in this country. Paykel engineering had it, but you had to buy a 60 litre drum. A similar product maybe Shell Rimula which I have seen in Super Cheap. The so called Oil Wars on this site appear to revolve around ZDDP a zinc additive which the American EPA has banned from most automotive oils. This additive is considered necessary for proper valve train lubrication by many on this site. Diesel oil has apparently a higher percentage of ZDDP than ordinary oil. At the risk of offending site members, the dealer still looks after my bike, although that may change over the next few months. As far as I'm aware a synthetic oil is used in my bike.

Wow, $45 a quart. Cycle Gear has it for $13.95 and often run specials where it is even cheaper.
There are many online sellers with cheaper prices as well. Who knows whats on the bottom half of the world.

Pricey compared to the agricultural oil used in the US.

Came across this interesting info online. Unsure if it has been shared before. Some of the comparison graphs are interesting.
