1997 ls650 will not start! no sound or anything!

I can't seem to get her started. I changed the stator, starter button, starter relay, rectifier, got a new batter and changed the starter motor. I turn the key everything comes on but when I try and start her there is no sounds or dimming in the lights. A few weeks back I hook a car battery along with the motorcycle battery up to it because my old battery was dead but I accidentally switched the positive with the negative melted the battery and blew one of the fuses, i did replace that fuse as well. i was able to get her started through a push but that slowly died off as an option. I have to clue what to do. Any suggestions?

Test the solenoid with 12 volts directly to the wires that actuate it,.
Hook up a test lite & hit the starter button & see if youre getting Voltage there.
Make sure the decomp controller is hooked up, under the seat, a loose connector there & its not gonna do hoot.,

Believe it or not, if you don't hear even a click when you hit the start button, that is the easiest problem to diagnose, providing you have even minimum experience in automotive......or cycle electrical.
Do as Jog said, but maybe even bypass the starter solenoid first.
Really, armed w/ a 12v test lite, you should start at the battery, then work toward the starter motor !
