I picked up a set of bar end mirrors but can't seem to get the endcaps off easily.  Before I go all willy nilly with a hammer and screwdriver I wanted to ask the experts if there was a trick to getting these caps off.  Thanks.

Yep.....just use some kind of a padded plier attempt.  Jut grip them and lightly rock the pliers back and forth while pulling away from the bar.

I'd snap those things off in a day, do any other States aside from California allow lane splitting/sharing?

Not that I know of. I do know for a fact that in Az the "fuzz" will pull you over in a hurry for this then remind you that you are NOT in Ca.

If you try lane splitting here.....someone is going to toss their Orange Slushy or Starbucks out the window as you pass by.  Motorcycles are expected to be a part of the traffic jam just like everyone else...without any special privelages.

You're right about that Dave! I got caught up in the NASCAR race fiasco three years ago when all the roads leading to Kentucky Speedway were a parking lot. 6 hours in 95* sun-baked traffic on I-71 and the only things moving were bikes! Boy were they getting ripped by the cagers! If only I'd been on a bike I'd have been home in less than an hour!
