As for those looking for a Dyna muffler...cost too much for me

Cost -

Exhaust pipe - $11.00
Exhaust reducer - $4.95
Dennis Kirk / HardKrome Spiral Exhaust Baffle - $34.95 plus $11.00 S&H

Not that I don't respect the work you did, but I see

$11 + $4.95 + $34.95 + $11 + Welding + Paint > $20 Dyna  Wink

The supertrapp has the best deep rumble and makes it sound alot like a Harley Davidson or at least half of one anyway. The ability to add and remove discs for more power means as the instructions say, you do not need to rejet the carburetor.  Expensive tho!  Almost $400 for the muffler but well worth it.

woah mufflers can get pretty costly hey  Roll Eyes... Is this why most choose the dyna or other harley slip ons.

There are some owners on here who seem unlikely to spend more than $20 for anything, which I can understand for a bike from the 80s or 90s. Those of us who bought newer models are more inclined (I think) to spend a few more dollars on upgrades.

I don't think $62.00 for a solid steel muffler that won't burn out is a lot to pay......I had the fun & experience of building my own muffler.....plus it kept me off the streets and out of trouble for a while Grin

I forgot to add I put in one of Lancers high performance cams and combined with the supertrapp it made a whole lot of difference in performance. I'm not sure if he is still selling the cam but if he is, you might consider one.

I spent the Big $$ on a Supertrapp. I also did the stage 1 cam, Each gave about the same Bump in power. I wish I had gone with the Dyna,
They cost tons less, look better & give almost the same performance boost.
The slight difference in power just isant worth the Big difference in $$$,,

My bike came with Jardine muffler. It just occurred to me that I don't know what a stock pipe sounds like. I have never seen another Savage on the road!

I believe in the tech section you'll have exhaust sounds and it'll have stock and go through a bunch of other sounds. The stock with drilled holes sounds awesome but your still dealing with the bulky stock look  Tongue

It sounds lame and metallic, like an old air cooled VW or a sewing machine. I did the Dyna on mine and it sounds so much better.
