Got it mounted, its purpose is to hold the wifes helmet and gear when at work. It doesn't look like it will work, but the plate its mounted on is the one that was on my roadglide and i've packed quite alot of stuff in there and it didn't break (it has a metal floor inside).

Old Rider how heavy do you figure the pack is on it's own?

I didn't weigh it, forgot to, i'd gestamate about 20lbs, its kinda pushing the limit on the little rack. I'm going to be looking around for a bigger rack to mod onto the short sissy or maybe fab one to the chrome brace when I move the blinkers down. I know the setup is ridiculous, but its all I have at the moment that is waterproof for her storage.
How much extra power draw can I add to this system? The pack has about 4-6 more lights in it, two brake and some on the sides.

Nevermind.... I followed the wife on a ride today, the tour pack was bouncing too much and I don't want it to crack cause I can still sell it for about 500 bucks.
I swapped it out for a Kuryakyn large bag, she can still put her modular helmet in it and it has a rain cover.

I like the black bag better.....it might weigh as much as the tour pack....but it looks more at home on the bike.
