dyna swap exhaust leak - solutions from here?

Did the dyna swap and followed Serow's tutorial with the serrated can as a gasket and good quality clamp. Holding my hand around the join I can feel a leak. Bike is running #55 pilot and is running pretty well but maybe still a little bit lean from take off.
What's the best solution from here?
- try putting another exhaust clamp on?
- weld the muffler to the pipe?
- leave as is and put in a larger pilot jet?

I used some hi temp sealer that came with my blue collar kit. I'll check the tube when I get home. I don't think anyone would recommned welding.

Some have taken the extreme road and welded it on.
question is... is it backfiring? if not leave it alone.

you can also go to the local muffler shop and have them make you a 1 3/4" adapter with a 10 degree bend, you'll get a tighter seal and have the offset so that the rear brake setup doesn't get sooty. Just bring the head pipe and have them bump the one side up to fit it perfectly, should only cost you $10/$15

it's backfiring a bit - popping quite a lot.
I'm gonna need to go up another pilot to 57.5 to get the mix screw right and under 3 turns. From my reading Dyna and Filter change should only need pilot 55 so it must be the leak making it more lean.
In one way it's free flowing so it must be an upgrade
I'll try some exhaust goo. And if that don't work I'll ask my local muffler place about the offset - good tip thanks.

Wait till you get the exhaust leak fixed till you start ordering jets. When I had the first intermediate pipe made it leaked because I had him bump up the wrong side, my bike was popping and backfiring like a
son of a gun
. After I had him redo the pipe and got a nice tight fit eliminating the leaks, I no longer had any backfiring and only slight pops. Now that I've adjusted the idle mix properly I only get an occasional pop and don't feel I need to rejet at all. I'm not sure if the longer intermediate pipe makes a big enough difference that I don't have to rejet with the Dyna, but it's running perfectly smooth across all power bands.
Oh and it sounds sooooo sweet!
