07 s40 vibrates badly (Read 155 times)

bufbills YaBB Newbies Offline SuzukiSavage.com Rocks! Posts: 21	07 s40 vibrates badly 05/07/13 at 02:48:25 my brother just picked up an 07 s40 and it vibrates much more than my sons 01 savage. The vib can be felt in the seat bars etc. Its real bad when pulling in the clutch to change gears. any ideas? Thanks!

How many miles on it, have you checked that bolts are tightened especially engine mounts?

When you pull in the clutch you are taking the torque off the engine momentarily, and this may allow the engine to move in the frame more than when it is under a load.

Is the belt at the proper tension? Does it vibrate even when sitting still and the engine is running. Does the frequency of the vibrations change with the engine speed......or wheel speed?

Its drizzling here so I couldnt get crazy, but I was able to get through the gears and up to 70 with no vibration. Thanks again!
