Ugggggh, I did a search before asking, but has anyone found a way to pull the weights out of the handlebars??  I looked all over, and finally found a set of the old BMW style bar end blinkers to fit our handlebars, but I need to modify the weights a bit to fit them (as in trimming them down and drilling a hole through them for the wires).  I tried a couple of smacks with a hammer, but that didn't budge them

+1 to Serow I don't think your going to get them out completely.  Were you looking to wire through the bars or is it that you need more space deeper in the bars to mount the lights? Some people have drilled into them to mount bar end mirrors, if you just need more clearence you may be able to drill out enough to use the lights  

Yeah, I found a set of BMW style bar end blinkers that fit 1" bars, but the weight is in the way for them to slide all the way in.  I was hoping I could pull it out, cut a little off, and drill a hole for the wire.  Guess I'll be looking for new bars if I can't get them out
