Hell's Canyon Run

This looks like a fun run to partake in... Problem is the starting point is about 5+ hours from my house. I think SALB is only a couple hours away from there, maybe he would want to do this ride?

I may go on July 14th, the only day I probably won't have to work.  Baker City is only a little over an hour ride from Boise via I84...it would be faster if Oregon didn't have a 65mph top speed on all their freeways.

Ejid, I know some guys that have done this run. I also
have read some not so good accounts from ones that
have done it as well.
We went there before the run and in the truck not on the bikes.
Their are some places where the run takes you thru that they only
say do as an experienced rider. After viewing some of these areas
I can see why they say that.
Very narrow roads with no room for mistakes.
Cops are plentiful and know that they can make their revenue for
the year in one weekend.
Personally if I did this run, I would need a whole weekend and would not
do it in the time slot the rest of these people do it in.
I will stick to riding my own state for now.. Smiley kim

I rode that route a couple of times with a friend. One time going around a curve he pointed up in the air at this hawk and I looked up and went into a small ditch at about 30 mph. I have no idea how I managed to not crash but I just let the bike do what it wanted to do and somehow came back up on the pavement without falling over. On the other side of the road was a steep drop off which my sleeping bag decided to take the plunge. Too steep for me to go get it. Nice ride but ride carefully because it would take all day for any emergency vehicle to get to you. Not a place to be fool hardy.
