When I got my 78 goldwing, I got a title signed by the previous, previous owner. I didn't realize it at the time, but the notary wouldn't do anything unless it was signed by him in the presence of a notary. Him signing it otherwise actually ruined the title. They wanted me to go through contacting him to resign ownership, and if I couldn't, I would have to go through all the hoops of applying for a lost title or whatever. Luckily, I had a friend who was a notary. Knowing now all that crap I would have had to go though, I would have kept looking. Here in PA, you ca not get it fixed easily, unless things are different where you are.
However, I got it for $450 and built a sweet cafe that is a blast. For that savage, offer 300. The engine is worth at least $100, wheels, belt, carb and gas tank make up the rest if you can find a buyer.
