OK

I would say you are intitled to give advice on keeping things right between a feller and his bike !

So here goes, my first Savage has a knocking cam at 45,000 miles , I bought it used and doint know it entire history but what happened ?

Huh

Knocking cam?  Huh  knocking noise in the top end could be valve adjustment.  That is where I would start, as it is minimum invasive.
If that looks OK, open the clutch cover and check the cam chain/tensioner.  If you have a verslavy and it is on the 2nd hole and at the end of travel, you may have enough slop in the chain to cause a knock.

OK.. the deed has been done, the odometer has been rolled, and it feels SOOOOO good to be riding a motorcycle with less than 100 miles on it!!  Grin

Yeah, I know.  If there isn't pictures, it didn't happen.
I was taking video of the roll over, and the camera died when it hit 99,999.8 miles.  I am soooo.. upset.

However, there are still pictures of the odometer at 99,999.9!! and I will post both (if I can figure out how to post a video) and a few other photo's from the ride.

Woo Hoo!  That is a huge milestone.  I imagine it is a small percentage of motorcycle riders that can claim they have ridden 100,000 miles in their lifetime....and even fewer that have done it on a "single" (pun intended) motorcycle.

and, a few choice pictures from the ride.

We are going over there next.

The lead Suzuki's and my good riding in the dirt buddy, Bill.  That's his Burgman.

Another speedo shot, showing the sloping 9's.

Awwww.. my wife put a birthday card in Thumper's tail bag!!!

A beautiful day, with my faithful steed.

And the group that shared it with me.  Poorly edited to put everyone in.

And thanks to all for the congrats and good wishes and all the help I have received here over the years.

We'll be riding together for a LONG time .. I hope!  Cheesy
