Battery Wierdness
04/19/13 at 17:12:16

Needed to replace the battery on my 2002 Savage. Put the new battery in, turned the key and...nothing. No headlight, no horn, no nothing. My first thought was that the new battery was bad, but it tested good. Next I hooked up my charger to the batter cables and still nothing. This is not the first battery change I've done on this bike but this is the first time anything like thus has happened.

Ehat the ^&^%$ did I do????

TIA

my first thought is check your fuses. then i would look at the positive cable. make sure it not corroded or burned.
good luck

Check the ground on the R/ side of the engine, near the clutch.

Nope. Had lights and horn, just wouldn't crank engine fast enough.

Just for the benefit of the doubt.  You are hooking the positive cable to the positive terminal, and the ground cable to the negative terminal, Right?
