For the person wanting the after pics, check out Brittany Morrow, The Roadrash Queen.

I met her once. One tough lady. She didn't just overcome... She kicked adversity's ass!

I was just looking at her Rock The Gear web site a few days ago after seeing the GIF that lead me to the YouTube video... I'm pretty impressed that she made something so positive out of that really bad experience.

Pretty amazing girl, glad she's sharing her bad experience trying to bring awareness. Glad that she's overcome any fears and is riding responsibly again too.

I was able to read about half of her story this morning......I will read the rest as time allows. It is an impressive story, and it probably happens more often than we realize. I need to look into getting some better gear....some gloves, a better helmet, etc.

You ran over your own leg and recovered?! How long are your legs?!
(Glad to hear you didn't seriously injure yourself, and that you managed to saved the bike too
)

The only time I ever ran over my own leg....was around 1975. I was over at a friends house, and a neighbor came by with a Honda ATC90 I believe it was called. It was the first 3 wheeled affair from Honda with those big donut tires. I tried to ride the thing and everytime I tried to turn a corner the thing would hop and bounce and refuse to turn.....and at one point I tried to put my foot out while attempting a turn and I guess I forgot there was a bug bulgy tire right there behnd my foot/leg. Luckily I as going slow and there were no injuries. It turns out that they had a locked rear axle and the only way to turn was to lean to the outside of the corner and get the inside wheel to lift up off the gound.....something that was almost impossible to do for someome that had been riding on 2 wheels for 8 years...I was programmed "NOT" to lean to the outside.
