It is pefecly normal for a bike with a warm engine to slow down or stall when you pull the choke out. The choke adds an extra amount of fuel, and helps you start a cold bike. Once the engine is warm and operating more efficiently....it does not need this extra fuel....and pulling the choke out will make the mixture too rich....and as a result the bike will slow down as the mixture is too rich for proper combustion.
Thanks, that's good to know. It does the same thing when the bike is cold, is that normal also?
On all the bikes I've had before, putting on the choke has sped up the idle speed, so this surprised me.
