Tail light relocate & saddle bags

I know this has probably been covered but this is my version. I kinda wish the saddle bags were a bit larger.

Cut a piece of aluminum tubing 7/8 OD, 5/8 ID. 5/8 is about the right size for the turn signal mounts. Drilled holes and cut slots.

This mounts behind the license plate bracket using the two holes that is already there.

Made saddle bag brackets from 1 & 1/2 x 1/4 aluminum and 1 x 5/16 aluminum.

Drilled and tapped the holes and mounted the saddle bags to the brackets. Mounted the brackets to the bike using 5/8 aluminum spacers in front and 1 & 1/4 aluminum bushing drilled and tapped in the rear.

Good update.

BTW... that sandwich bag luggage rack won't hold up to much weight for very long.  If you don't have a passenger, turn the bag around and put it on the seat.
