I'm at 900ft elevation. What jetts should I use with the dyna muffler swap? Since I'm at lower elevation than the guy in the tutorial, would I need smaller jets? Or could the stock ones work with the muffler swap?

Say you ran the same exact bike with the same exact muffle and same exact jets at 900 feet then at 4000 feet.  Let’s say originally it was running perfect at say 2500 feet.  Now at 900 feet the bike would run leaner (gas mixing with more air) and at 4000 feet it would be richer (gas mixing with less air).

You may need a bigger jet at lower elevation or just an adjustment on the mix screw wider open but not past 3 turns. (Depending on how it reacts)

You may need a smaller jet at higher elevation or an adjustment on the mix screw all the way closed. (Depending on how it reacts)

Wow! The leaner/richer thing just clicked in my head all of a sudden! It makes a lot more sense now thanks! I'm going to start with just doing the muffler swap and mess with the idle mix screw. Then I'll get bigger jets if I need to. Thanks!

What are your opinions on the dyna muffler with catalytic converters? They are the cheapest ones I've found.

Aida has one on her bike.  Sound good, runs well, and if I follow her at night, it has a cool orange glow. Smiley

Harley Cat's are not chemical or filtering,.. they just have a metal heat coil at the inlet... this coil will glow hot and burn off excess pollutants... it isn't restrictive, and won't do anything bad,.. except,... that extra heat will blue the muffler in that spot...
So,.. if blue bothers you,... you don't want one...(this won't be an indicator of rich or lean, or anything,... it will just go harmlessly blue)...
...(pipe color is a poor indicator of anything, anyway)....
Wink...
