brake line
04/03/13 at 12:12:15

I swapped out my handlebars recently for clubmans and got bigger shocks for the back to raise up the rear to give my savage a different look.  I now need a new shortened brake line.  Ryca sells a 30 inch one for 75 dollars.  Does anyone know of a place I can get one for cheaper?  Thanks.

You can get this one from Motorcycle Superstore for $ 35.99 plus shipping:
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/14/71/983/28909/ITEM/Streamline-Universa...

You can get this one from Vehnill in any color or length you want with chrome plated fittings for $ 41.98 plus shipping.

Or you can get the Venhill kit with stainless fittings for $ 59.98 plus shiping:

Most people use a 30" length - I used 31" with mine as I used a different master cylinder.

I bought one from this guy off eBay...good quality product, you state the length you want and identify the fittings when you order it. Shipped from Canada, but I don't think it took very long to get here when I ordered mine.

Here is the note from my original order...

"Hose 1 Fittings #1 & #4 (10mm Straight & 10mm 45 Degree) Length 42" (end to end including fittings) Angle: Type C (90 Degree)"

I used this cable to extend my brake line for putting on mini-apes (from a FXDWG) and if I did it again, I would add another 1" in length (almost too short). It's been a while now, and I'm not sure if the Angle Type C is the correct one to use, seems like I had a little trouble with the angle, but I would have to look it over again to decide. I was happy with my purchase though and would use them again if I need another line.  Smiley Good luck

I got some brake lines for my old Corolla from this guy. They look real nice. I actually didn't know he makes them himself - they look like store-bought items.

I believe I got angle C = 0° and had trouble with it also.
I ordered clear covering, but that doesn't last too long.
If I order again, it'll be black.
