I'm on the lookout for a left side cover for my 01, and it seems that there are pretty much only RIGHT covers available on ebay. Is there a reason that the left ones are in such short supply (do they just happen to fall off more than the right side, get broken more often, etc.), is it a coincidence that there are far more right side covers for sale, or is it some sort of conspiracy to keep me from finding one??? The one I found on ebay is about 3x the price of the myriad of right side covers on there.

If you mean the tin side cover just watch the marketplace, they come up from time to time. I recently got a pair for $20! Mine rusted through... If you mean for the engine, you need to clarify.
