My newly acquired Guzzi still has a clear factory sticker on the windshield. It has some safety warnings about how top speed should be reduced when using the windshield and blah blah blah.

The sticker is fairly large and is a clear plastic material with black lettering all over it. It appears that the PO tried to remove it from two different corners and had no luck. It doesn't look too bad but one more failed attempt won't help it any.

Anyone know any easy way to remove these things. It has been on there several years. I was thinking of trying a hair dyer.

There is a stuff called Goof Off that works very well in removing those pretty much impossible to remove stickers and labels. I've used it very successfully in the past but I've never tried it on an acrylic surface before so I don't know what if any affect it will have on the windshield itself. I've even used it to remove those stickers that are supposed to destroy themselves and show void when you remove them and be able to re-apply them with this stuff, that's how good it is.

No.....Don't do it. A Pot Pike is the Hottest Thing in the Universe! It has been known to leave fleshy bits hanging from the roof of your mouth, and make your tounge numb for days!

On the other hand.....letting the pot pie cool down for a few minutes on your windshield may be just the thing for saving your taste buds from the molten chicken filing. Wonder why they don't suggest that on the box?

I agree with all the above, use the hair dryer to get the actual sticker off and then use the Goo-Off to remove the glue/paste left over if it is safe to use on the material of your windshield. I find that keeping the rag as wet as possible really helps get it off with minimal fuss and takes alot less time. If the Goo-Off isn't recomended for the windshield's material some auto parts stores sell plastic razor blades that work pretty well with some elbow grease, I use a thick plastic scrapper made for pizza stones which gives nice leverage and has four sides of scraping surface.

If you decide to go with the meat pie method a beer will deffinately help too! Grin

Thanks for the great suggestions. First I'll make a chicken pot pie, they taste great on cold damp March days, and then I'll buy some of the Goof stuff. It sounds like it would be a good product to have on hand around the house. Next I'll get out the hair dryer, remove the sticker, clean up the glue with goof and celebrate by eating the chicken pot pie which should have cooled down by this point!

After you get the glue off, clean with soap and water, bingo you are done.
