Petcock question
03/16/13 at 15:15:00

Hello,

The valve on the bottom of the gastank is call the petcock I believe.

When I cleaned my carb, if I put the arm down to run, the gas stopped. Meaning the long arm part was hanging below the petcock.

When I turned it 90 degrees left or right gas flowed fast.

I thought RUN would allow gas to flow?

The stock petcock is vacuum operated.  It will not allow fuel to flow in the run or res position unless the engine is running.  The prime position will flow fuel anytime.
