Phase 1 of move to OK completed safely
03/16/13 at 12:29:04

Arrived in OK after 3 day drive from SC.
Drive went well without incident.
Took 2 days to unload.
Taking time to rest and plan out this year.
Met with WD in W Memphis for Mexi food along the way; a very enjoyable time.
I am hoping to be able to get back to his place in Sep. for a gathering.

The best thing about moving is the shedding of collected stuff; getting to reprioritize life and all its aspects.  Are you building a multi-bike "storm shelter"?

Hope the rest of the move goes  well also.

Oh good lord, another Sooner!...lol
Where abouts in Okie land you moveing Lancer?

Tips.
Build or buy a storm shelter. You WILL use it!
Keep a good buffer between your house and the trees, fire danger. Especially the last couple of years. Good friend had just moved from vermont last year when that big fire came through and took everything he had moved in and built. Think he had been there a month.

Rattlesnakes, skeeters, moccasins, and fire ants will welcome you with open arms......lol

I don't know, Southpaw.  That doesn't sound like Oklahoma (or in my case, Kansas).

Lancer, welcome to this part of the country.

bobert...that's WHY I wished it. When you get used to those three ur, uh, variances? the rest is pretty nice! We used to get work in the panhande occasionally and remember some pretty brutal summers! Hoping for a kinder "break in" period for ya Lancer, there's pros and cons to everywhere!
