Turn Signal Question and Tuning question
03/11/13 at 07:17:41

Hey guys,

I bought some new signals (whole) for the front and the rear. Would it be difficult to install the new lamps? The signals came with just two wires.

Is there a guide on how to remove the rear lamps?

Is there a special adapter for connecting them?

The carb tuning question: How do you know if the brass plug is still there? I am able to turn it with a flathead but it offers little resistance.

You need to give us more information about the turn signals you bought.  Two wire could mean that the turn signal has a ground and a power lead (single filament).......or it could mean that you have a running lamp wire and a turn signal wire (dual filament), an the ground is run through the mounting point.

You are going to have to take the side rails off the back fender to get the turn signal wiring out.  The philips screws that hold the turn signals in can be tough to get out if you don't have an impact driver.

The front turns signals have 3 wires because they have running lights.  One wire is the ground, one wire is the running light, and one wire is the turn signal (dual fimament).

Here is a link to the page that shows where the idle mixture plug is, and if you have a place to put a screwdirive your plug is already out:

Go to the Tech Seciton and look for the Index.......You might find some helpful information there.

Hit the link below and go down to "Lights"

You can peruse the entire section.

and there's two for aftermarket lights.

If you have 2 wires and your lights have a high and low beam, then the 3rd wire is ground.
