Yes, the Bolt uses the 950 engine with different ignition & fuel mapping. It has a spin-on oil filter that crosses over to several readily available aftermarket filters Ceramic composite plated cylinders & forged aluminum pistons for longer wear. It has roller cam followers that get there first adjustment at 16k.
The rest of the bike is totally different. It is much shorter & lighter than the 950, & has less suspension travel.
Looks good, but not the bike for me.
I've owned my 950 for over 3 years & 24k miles. My friend Ken has had his for over 2 years & 34k miles. Both machines have been very trouble free, & neither has actually needed the vavles adjusted when checked at the 16k intervals. Both were still within limits, although I did readjust them to minimum specs.
BTW, Ken traded a 15 month old C50 for his 950, the day after I got 59 mpg to his 44 on the Three Twisted Sisters.
