I'll say it flows better... simply because I got lean when I swapped...
If you get lean... by changing a filter, you increased the airflow...
I'm not saying that is good, or bad,... it just is...
I bought it,... because I like to have a clean filter, and I don't like to buy new ones... and the K/N is washable...
Beyond that,... you ain't gonna' turn yer' putter into a wedge....
What you will do,.. is trade some powerband width, for a small peak in HP...
Whether that is beneficial to your riding style, depends on how you ride...
Personally,... I just wanted a re-useable filter... the difference in power didn't matter...
Don't expect to breath fire...
A K/N filter takes a bit of skill to use... too much filter oil, and it will reduce breathing,.. too little, and it will not filter...
You want to get all the fibers covered, but not drenched...
Then it will breathe a little better than a stock filter, and still filter well... K/N's actually filter better as they get dirty, because the flow is reduced... (as do stockers)...
Just clean it when it's dirty,... and it is a good filter...
No better or worse than a stock paper filter,... just a different option...
Like I said,... I have one... because it's washable...
Performance is secondary...
