The latest addition to my other bike is this $85 trunk I found on Amazon. Not great quality but OK for the price. I had to make 2 plates from some T6061 3/16'" aluminum I had on hand to mount it without a luggage rack. Getting ready to make some trips this year with my wife, & I don't want to have to take the trailer every time.

The black frame came with the trunk. It's fairly light gauge so I don't know how well it will last, but for the price I'm willing to see. They sent a luggage rack with it to but the chrome is so poor I didn't want to put it on.
I have no doubt it COULD be adapted to a Savage, but it's may be too big to look right.
There are a lot of cheap trunks on Amazon now. Some would look better size-wize on the Savage than this one. Cool
