I did not think anyone would take me serious. Of course a helmet would do him no good. A snow shovel might if he fell tho. Still just looking at the pics made me sweat. I can't even get on my roof.

As a former climber, I reassure you climbers use helmets to protect themselves from falling pebbles and *small* loose stones which might fall from abobe.

The only safety from falling is a safety rope - whatever the technical name for it may be in english.

If you fall any more than 5-6 feet, a helmet is as much use as flippers, sunglasses or a beach towel.  Cool
