...I'm planning a trip to Athena, Oregon to attend Hodaka Days    my first bike was a 74 Hodaka Super Combat 125...

...would you suggest a good starting point for clamp position on the forks and screen angle(relative to the forks) ?  I'm 5'8"

I'm 5'-8",... and my first bigboy bike was a Hodaka, Wombat...
Doug B stole my life...
Do do,.. do do,.. do do,.. do do...(that's the Twilight Zone theme song,.. in case I spelled it wrong)...
Huh...

... and this, triggered another thought...
My first bike... a Hodaka Wombat...

... my Savage...

... is this a mid-life crisis?... (PS... my Hodie had a custom seat... guess what it looked like?...
PSS,... I used to have a chrome tail rack on my Savage)...
... and this thought never consciously occurred to me 'till now...Huh...

When I was in junior high.....around 1970, the local Hodaka dealer was Roy Lippiat in Salem, OH.  If you wanted to race in the 100cc class the Hodaka was about your only choice, as Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda had not yet started building good Hare Scrambles or motocross bikes.  Every bike he sold was burning Castor Oil.........and I still remember that smell every time someone mentions Hodaka!

Serowbot - you'll take your own life back when you make it up here to my neck of the woods(every late June for Hodaka Days)   those early days bring back many fond memories  -     Dave - nice oil can - I'll never forget that smell either
