Tail light dilema solved

A FB friend of mine from Brazil did a very cool mod for the rear lighting. I always disliked having the tail/brake light on the axle with the plate. Mounting it on the fender ruins the lines. This seems to be a great alternative.

Just gotta' keep your shirt tucked in...

Here's another option,.. I did mine on a bracket... with a pair of Road Glide turn signals wired as brake/running lights...

Nice flush mount.
I thought about doing something similar with trailer oblong lights
3 in a row, turns and stop.

Bot, I like that look of yours. I don't plan on doing what I posted. I just thought the execution was awesome and looked great with his fender choice. I like my rear fender. I lowered it about an inch and I think it looks awesome. I would love to get rid of the tail/brake light and convert my turn signals to tail/brake/turn. I have not been able to find red lenses though. I made a separate post asking for help with that. (

If you can't find them in red, you can get kits to make molds and cast them in colored plastic.

If you go this route you might want to put a layer of tape or 2 on the lenses before you take the mold of them for the outside part and the lip where it goes into the housing to account for the shrinkage of the plastic resin that you will use to cast your new lenses with.

Making my own seems to be the only option. Thanks for the idea!
