1. They are H-D take-offs I got from a local bike shop for $40 a pair. Sadly, they have since moved away & I haven't been able to find them again. I put them on because my wife had bad knees & the stock pegs were very uncomfortable for her.
I had the Ed L. 4" extensions & decided it looked funny with floorboards on the rear & pegs on the front, so I picked up the chrome front boards from the same place, same price. I really like being able to shift my feet around for comfort.
2. It sounds a bit louder than a drilled out stock muffler, but deeper. It's a straight through design with a lot of 'fluted' edges to baffle the noise. I wanted a 20-30s look for it.
3. the brake cable has about 3/16" clearance at its' closest point, which is where it is in the picture.
It will eventually end up with a 'baby bagger' look when I'm done. I have a windshield I'm replacing on my 950 that I will make brackets for & put on this bike. My bags mount on ghost brackets I made several years ago & can be removed in a couple of minutes.
