He bangs on the door to go out if it's raining, storming (loves thunder storms), snowing, or sleeting. He just stands out there in the rain until he's soaked...odd.

Cats can be trained to never get up on the dining table. Both of ours stay off. I will admit that the dining table and the kitchen counters are the only surfaces they do stay off of though.
