40th wedding anniversary today.

Not going to make a big deal of it- just a bottle of champagne tonight. We have known each other for 43 years. We "courted and sparked" for three years before we got married. Her first cousin and my first cousin got married in 1970, and we met at the wedding. Our secret to success? Simple- know when to stop an argument.

Edit: We decided to go to Margueritaville to celebrate. Wink

I'll add my congrats too. My wife and I celebrated 42 years on 1/17/13.
Do you remember that great philosophical question about if a tree falls in forest and there is no one there to hear it, does it still make a noise?
Well, the real question is: if a man speaks in the forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?
When my daughter got married 4 years ago, right before the wedding I told my future son in law that he would learn four words that day, and to remember them well - I Do, and Yes Dear.
